Even the woman on the phone wasn’t so sure we should come up. “Just so you know,” she said, “the apples are scarce! Columbus Day weekend was really busy.” Everyone and their mother must have been at the Outhouse Orchard because when we got there most apples were either on the ground, rotting, or inhumanely high up in the trees. “But if you can’t fill up your bag, you can come and top it up with apples from the bins here. We have every kind!” she reassured us. No way. What fun is that?? We may be city folk and it may be slim pickings but I’ll be damned if I leave one apple hanging in those trees. And so we set forth, with a huge stick of some kind, a sad little empty bag and the courage of four lions…

Gah! This is seriously my favourite blog (or website?) to scroll through. Such beautiful photos. Your outfit here is incredible and the location is so enchanting. Really beautiful work. xx
Joos’ technicolored dream coat…move out of the way, Joseph!
This was fun, as always! Love your looks, and this time I was so happy to see you wearing this vintage patchwork coat, because I have a really similar one!!! It was from my mom, from the 70s. I love wearing it around London, the only place I feel comfortable wearing it!
But, did you get any apples?
Yes! Half a bag. The rest we filled up from the bins…. I have not finished eating all of them…
Very cute, looks like a lot of fun, such a nice seasonal feel, love it!
