It was immediately clear that this would be no ordinary wedding. If I did my math correctly, I would need to bring at least five dresses. And a bikini. And shoes. And bags. Knowing the bride and groom’s fabulous friends, this could easily turn into a mini-fashion week so I had to put my head and shoulders into this one. I enlisted the help of my stylist friend Lara Backmender and started requesting some gowns and cocktail dresses, took to the streets for some serious shopping and nearly pulled my hair out at the end of it. (Designers do exclusives for wedding parties now??) But I pulled myself together and packed my luggage. Efficiently.

Day 2: Red flared mini dress by Miu Miu; Black raffia sandals by Dolce & Gabbana; Black ‘Anouk’ sunglasses by Tom Ford; Dotted round mini satchel by Clare Vivier.
Day 2: Hot pink lace gown by Valentino; Black raffia sandals by Dolce & Gabbana; Customized ‘Joosy’ box clutch by Edie Parker.
I can only speak for myself, but I am pretty sure none of us made it the third day – I stayed up until 6.30 AM! – so that dress remains to be seen….

Oh God that’s right! Nails are done by my Japanese friend Mei at Ciao Manhattan! She’s a nail magician! We used the illustrations of the wedding invite as inspiration.
