At first I thought I’d get bored. I’m more prone to the rugged, unchartered kind of nature, with things left a little wild and lawless. And though the Ritz Carlton in Dorada Beach has all the indigenous trees and plants to populate a first-rate, impervious jungle, every inch of the compound is manicured and cookie-cut to a T. Unless you left the grounds – they’re massive! – you wouldn’t find one hair out of place. That’s just the way they do business over there in Puerto Rico.
But then it grows on you, and you start to settle into your perfect surroundings and you feel like you actually deserve all that pampering. There’s no way you can get bored! First of all, the spa is five acres big. It has tree houses for massage rooms, an 84-year old tree that says welcome, and natural water outdoor showers. That’s like one day spent right there. Second, there are three pool areas; one has two water slides. Do the math. There are golf courses, tennis courts, kayak and scuba lessons, sunset views and cocktails where ever you turn. I was so wrong.
Anyways, the highlight of my 4-day trip was the coconut milk rice pudding at dinner and my first golf lesson. I’m a natural ; – )
Thank you to the ladies at Brandman PR, and the chefs who took such care in feeding me my crazy diet.
This is amazing
