It wasn’t easy to assign each jacket to the different characters Marianna had designed for her film narrative. I mean, how do you define and dress “a woman who delivers a mysterious letter, like a mail man”. Do we put her in pants? We settled on the coat I brought, in grey and black tweed and matched it with oversized slacks and a loose “debardeur”. Topped off with the black bob, my “mail (wo)man” became a 1920’s gamine.
