This year marks the 400th anniversary of the first trading relationship between Japan and Spain and also the 40th anniversary of Loewe in Japan. Two milestone birthdays that needed to be celebrated with a fashionable collaboration. Creative Directors Junya Watanabe and Stuart Vevers came up with the idea of making a capsule collection of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and a reinterpretation of the iconic ‘Amazona’ Loewe bag. The pieces all combine leather, denim and tartan patchwork. You’ve seen the ad on my home page; you’ve seen me carry the bag during fashion week and on instagram; now it’s here in a Look of the Week!

Please HELP
Hi, actually it’s the first thing in the credits! The word ‘skirt’ is missing sorry! It’s an old DKNY skirt that I patched up myself. There was a moment in the late nineties when these types of denim skirts were popular, basically an old pair of jeans taken apart at the seams and sewn back together as a skirt. Then I shortened it and moved the patches around a bit… It must be about 15 years old this skirt…
