Mary & Mari

Ever since I got my Gucci boots and the black patent Prada loafers my winter has been about short A-line tunic dresses and cropped cigarette pants. It’s a relentless sixties moment, and there’s a few designers who have made sure I am getting my fix. Giulietta’s Pre-Fall collection for example, and Fall at Saint Laurent (dare I say it?), and Mary Katrantzou’s Resort suits. I love the tight little package of the sixties silhouette. You’re boxed-in and properly petite, like a gift-wrapped piece of Starburst candy.

I took Mary’s alphabet suit to Mari Vanna, one of my favorite restaurants in the city. You don’t just go for the elegant Russian dishes. You go for the bustling ambiance, the lounging models, the folklore decor and the flavored vodka. It’s a lot of fun and a weekend must-do for locals and tourists alike.

Satin suit by Mary Katrantzou; Dusty rose body suit by Jill Stuart; Yellow pumps by Aldo; Burgundy boots by Gucci; Burgundy tights by Fogal; Cotton sweater by H&M; Powder blue coat by H&M; Green bowling bag by Clare Vivier; Pastel blue beaded clutch by Delduca; My vintage earrings; My vintage fur collar.
