Velvet should be declared the official Christmas uniform. Wear anything you like, as long as you add some velvet in a deep, rich color, like this purple, pleated, vintage Yves Saint Laurent skirt (from Marlene Wetherell‘s) or emerald green Charlotte Olympia wedges. I paired the skirt with a leopard, vintage Dolce & Gabbana silk t-shirt and my favorite United Bamboo wool sweater. And some gold lurex can’t hurt either. It’s all cozy, comfy, festive and a little bit sexy.
