Ladies, place your orders. I have two very exclusive goodies for you! First this amazing Lego bag by Les Petits Joueurs. Marisole sent it to me just at the end of fashion week in Paris, too late to wear out to shows but just in the nick of time for this new look. The bags are made in Italy – the quality, execution and details are out of this world! – but the brand is based in Brazil. They come in different colors, in suede or leather and with different Lego designs. You can find them on-line and on facebook but if you order a bag through me I can get a nice discount!
And check out the new Cole Haan Grand Lunar shoes for girls! Engineered to conquer the streets of New York and incorporating Nike’s innovative ultra-lightweight Lunarlon cushioning system, these shoes fit like gloves around your feet. They’re so light and supple you barely feel them. They come in 4 different colors and are on sale exclusively at the Soho store in New York for $278. If you would like to buy my blue pair (38,5 / worn just once / $250 + shipping) or another, I can place the order for you! (Just be warned that they may be sold out by now…)
The rest of my outfit is pretty straightforward but not (is it ever?) without some stylized winks: I matched polka dots by wearing a pair of cotton jeans I found in a vintage store in Tokyo and a 70s jacket I bought at Artists and Fleas in Brooklyn. The black Massimo Dutti turtle neck is from a vintage store in Buenos Aires and the hat – I die for this hat! – is made in Uruguay, straight from the farm!
The photos were taken by my friend Bruno Pieters. Yep! The Belgian designer is now taking photos and working on his new venture, Honest By, a site that sells exclusive, sustainable pieces made in collaboration with other designers. It’s an honorable, conscious, fashionable effort to make people more aware of the earth’s environmental crisis.
It was my last day in Paris, and the end of a month of Fashion Weeks. I’m going to spend the next week in Belgium at my parents’ house, in absolute peace and quiet. Literally.
