Here’s another twist on that ton-sur-ton 70’s theme I’m so obsessed with. Though this one is less Faye Dunaway and more Janis Joplin meets The Black Crowes. Glynis said I look like I’m with some really cool band or something. Admitted, you gotta be pretty cool to wear corduroy head to toe. It’s not exactly the most flattering and exciting of fabrics. But with a little imagination, the right accessories and a good angle you can look like the real deal! The flares are Theyskens Theory “Werner Pepper” Corduroy Jeans, the jacket and shirt are both vintage and that amazing blanket is the Ulla Johnson “Jasmine” poncho I’ve been wearing from the day it arrived in my mailbox. I throw it over everything, day or night, and it’s great for traveling too – like a cozy companion. As for the accessories, you all know Pamela Love’s “Double Cage” ring, but check out the new Coach “Willis” bag and these smashing Zanzan Eyewear sunglasses (they’re made of one-of-a-kind vintage acetate!). I say give corduroy a chance and embrace your inner rock star. (BTW – what happened to The Black Crowes??)
