Look of the Week: A la Seine

Paris Fashion Week in September might very well be my favorite time of the year. And this season has been all the more enjoyable because of the glorious weather we get to run around in. I am sharing a beautiful apartment in the Marais with Hanneli Mustaparta. The apartment is all windows and looks out on a massive, sunny courtyard giving us nothing but trees and vine leaves and birds. Hanneli’s a great roommate. And though we have different schedules and priorities – she’s shooting, I’m casting – we always manage to congregate at one point in the day to vent and recap.

In between shows and castings I managed to take a mandatory breather by the Seine in one of my favorite dresses. This Z-Spoke gown is sensational. The cut is insanely sexy and slinky and gives an incredible silhouette. But what’s even better is the harlequin print: a mix of pineapples, bananas, strawberries, cherries, grapes, watermelons and pear with laughing and smiling faces! So while you have this fabulous, jaw-dropping dress, when you get a closer look it’s actually quite comical! You might have noticed by now that I only really enjoy fashion when it doesn’t take itself too seriously…

Hence the daytime pairing with this funny cyclist “debardeur” I found at Hidden Treasures in Topanga Canyon. I loved the colors and loose fit. And when’s the last time you saw racing cyclists on a sweater??

The blue canvas bag was a gift from the lovely people at Benah. And the sunglasses are Karen Walker. During the day I wear the dress with my Celine wedges and at night with my black Phillip Lim sandals.

Au revoir!
