The best thing about Lancome’s collaboration with Alber Elbaz, besides the actual make-up of course, are the cute, funny drawings. Remember the Lanvin Halloween party on Madison Avenue in 2010? That must have been the first time I saw Alber’s graphic skills. (I still have that mask and two straw ornaments lying around actually.) This year Alber lends his artful mind and hand to your eyes. He’s designed three mascaras and two eye shadow compacts for Lancome. And the launch has been a big press to-do all over the world. Vogue and Lancome teamed up for the launches at Lord & Taylor on June 18th (which I hosted), Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. Customers were invited to have their make-up done using Alber’s colors and shop the collection. Even if you’re not an eye make-up person (like me) it serves to stock up on some of these adorable packages!
