Phew! What a whirlwind! The first season is in stores and selling. The second season is in production. The third season is about to close this week. And we have just started developing our Pre-Fall 2018 collection, which we like to call High Summer as it will have all kinds of beachy minis and crops. And let me tell you something: running a business is not a walk in the park, but the process has been so rewarding and educational I should probably write more about this. I’ve talked on a few panels in LA lately and realized that a lot of our peers have similar ambitions. It’s always the next step isn’t it? I’ve paid my dues, done the work, racked up miles and years of experience, so what’s next? My advice: keep it organic. Do what comes naturally. Wait for your AHA! moment. Because only if you’re truly passionate and consumed by something, can you completely and fully immerse in the process and be successful. I didn’t study fashion, or business, or knitwear for that matter, but somehow this comes full circle.
Anyways, why I am writing: I realize I haven’t really shown you how I, me, myself wear JoosTricot. And I will keep it brief at that: because they are so classic and simple, there’s no wrong or right way to wear these fitted knits. Even though it takes some confidence and feminine tendencies, I like to think that every woman can find herself in my sweaters. Wear them under tailored suits, tucked into high waisted denim skirts, mixed with the latest high street fashions or with a lotta, lotta vintage…. More of this next week! AND remember, if you sign up for our newsletter you get 10% off your first order! You’re welcome ; – ))
