Vogue.com / The Social Shopper / 4.16.11

On Saturday, April 16th, Vogue’s Senior Market Editor Meredith Melling Burke posted one of my images of Tali Lennox on the front page of Vogue.com as part of her Social Shopper series. Every weekend she finds an image on the fashion blogs that inspires her to go shopping. The picture of Tali lying down on the couch, bare feet, hat, long, flowey dress and a big smile is, according the Meredith, the perfect example of how the outdoor festival look can cross over to the living room. She writes: “With Coachella heating up this weekend in Palm Springs, I’ve been fantasizing about that effortless, confident style that seems born out of these outdoor music festivals year after year: vintage-inspired flowing dresses, flat shoes (if shoes are worn at all), requisite hat, and sunglasses (safety first), and all that clunky statement jewelry tucked safely away in a drawer at home. But is it, I always wonder, a look you can actually take home with you into the real world? Pondering these points (…) I found this amazing, bolstering image of Annie Lennox’s daughter, Tali, shot by Natalie Joos on talesofendearment.com. This is the longed-after look, yes, but the city setting shows me that it can translate, beautifully, almost anywhere.”

Thank you Vogue and Meredith for making my Saturday x

    Love it!

I've fallen hard for your blog and always set yours aside when I see an update so I can read it with plenty of time and comfy surroundings (would hate to rush through it at work for example).

Can't wait to see the first Tales man – would also love to see you dipping into Karen Elson's closet, whaddayathink?
